Channel deletion problem
Hey, so after I removed a camera from my NVR, I noticed that the old recordings still seem to be taking up storage space. What do i do to delete them? Also How do I change channel id to make them sequential?

Hi, when I try to add new camera, it's failed.
My camera supports ONVIF H265/H264.
Please help.
There is another possibility, users failed to add their IP cams.
That their IP cams could be on internet, and their routers close Ping functions.
Therefore, GVD NVR will fail to add these IP cams.
The solution is to open Ping function on these routers.
Also, if your IP cams are old, not support right ONVIF version, then pls
using RTSP protocol to add your old IP cams

Hi, MsMpEng.exe is the core process of the Windows Defender anti-malware application. Windows Defender comes pre-installed on Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022.
This issue with MsMpEng.exe taking high usage of the hard drive and CPU usually occurs when Windows Defender is scanning for malware. The Windows Defender scan is getting stuck on a few files while checking malware.
When that is happening, it should be restricted or disabled to bring it back to normal use.
Refer following website for disabling disable Microsoft Defender Antivirus on Windows 11 and Windows 10.

Hi, I have some NVR, M6016, does it have warranty? When does the warranty start?
Hi,
The standard hardware warranty for the M6000 series is 3 years, while the software warranty is 1 year, both starting from the GVD shipment date.
For any products that are out of warranty, an extended warranty purchase will be required.
For more details, please refer to our website: https://www.gvdigital.com/services-3.
Hi there,
The behavior you're seeing is actually normal. The NVR software, by design, doesn't immediately delete old recordings when a camera is removed. Instead, the system will gradually overwrite the data through regular recording cycle, so the storage spaces will be reused automatically overtime. These leftover files also won't interfere with adding new cameras. Each channel is assigned with a unique and non-reused channel ID, and the NVR doesn't reuse old footage for new devices. If the skipped channel numbers bother you after removing cameras, you cam reinstall the NVR software and re-add the cameras in order. This will reset the channel IDs so they line up sequentially again.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
