Any IP solution surveillance is a heavy IO loading application, running huge amount of video data on your HDDs, RAID Module, Network Ports and many others key server components. DiagTrack is a Windows background service that collects diagnostic data to improve system performance and resolve issues. Users will need to manage their data collection through privacy settings, and to clean up periodically before the data is too big. Windows DWM.exe (Desktop Window Manager) manages visual effects like transparency and animations in Windows DWM may use high CPU/GPU resources due to heavy visual tasks. Windows won't allow disable DWM. Restarting DWM is recommended periodically. To ensure the servers, HDD, networks, OS are well maintained in a working condition is a must for any user. There are few GVD Training programs, you shall roll and complete first. “VMS 4.0 What & How Introduction” This is training to overview what are GVD products and their main functions. And what tools and information, you shall know about before you handle GVD products. “VMS 4.0 Pro Suites Operation” This is mainly to share what VMS 4.0 basic functions and advanced features. “VMS 4.0 End User Training” This is training for the GVD end-users, who have their VMS systems installed, how to handle daily operation and maintenance etc. Then after complete your GVD training programs, then you can make an online appointment with GVD Technical Manager for your GVD Certification Program. Such certification exam, will take about 1.5 hours. And you will have few things to prepare in advance. And you will need to have Desktop ready to your certification.

Effective October 1, 2024, all GVD partners are required to have at least one GVD Certified Engineer involved in any GVD-related technical discussions, support requests, or technical communications. Program Overview The certification process requires approximately 60 minutes to complete. The program is designed as a qualification assessment to ensure that partner engineers possess the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively deploy, support, and communicate regarding GVD solutions. Prior to taking the certification assessment, partner engineers are expected to be familiar with GVD products and system architecture, including the following materials: GVD Website GVD VMS – What & How Introduction GVD VMS Advanced Training GVD Administration Manual GVD Operation Manual Participants will attend a Webex session that includes hands-on exercises covering essential GVD VMS operations and key features. Participants are required to prepare a notebook or laptop computer for the Webex certification session. Certification Validity Upon successful completion, engineers will receive an official GVD Certified Engineer Certificate. The certification is valid for two (2) years from the date of issuance. Technical Support Communication All technical support inquiries, technical discussions, and project-related communications between GVD and partners should be conducted through the certified engineer(s). Certified engineers will communicate directly with GVD through designated channels, including LINE and WhatsApp. *This table can be downloaded in VMS Tools

If you need to upgrade your VMS systems, there are guidelines here you need to follow before your action. GVD will recommend you shall have your Product Warranty or Extended Product Warranty to proceed with your VMS upgrade to access the necessary technical support from GVD. And there is a final check list & policy to help your upgrade You must backup your VMS systems configurations: NVR, Database, Conductor. You will consider to backup (restore point) your Windows OS in case you need to restore back your current systems. If your VMS version is too old to the current version you want to upgrade, make sure you will consult with GVD technical support before your action. Your too-old-version shall be deleted from your servers before you install your new version of VMS. You only allow yourself to directly install VMS new release if yours is the sequential version to the new one.
